We already know that the spiders from Mars are real -- but has the NASA rover Curiosity picked up real evidence of extraterrestrial life on the Red Planet?

Conspiracy theorists think so. Some of these photos -- taken by the Curiosity over the past year and on other missions to Mars -- look a lot like rocks. Some of them look a lot more peculiar, like the "iguana" found earlier this month. All of them are the stuff of Internet legend, and many believe that NASA is hiding something.

OK, this really does look like some sort of rodent. NASA's Mars rover Curiosity shot a photo of this little guy earlier this year. But after a closer look, and a little common sense, it's probably a rock.

like this: the other day I was looking into the forest
and saw the outline of a face in the trees.

Of course, it is just my imagination, and the way
that shadows cast, and light passes through.

hey i didn't see it before but in the rat pic with the arrow..what are those lines in the foreground..
looks kinda like a pentacle...

and how do you figure scale on these things..that part always messes with my figureing things out

If they would post the focus length we could get real close. I now have the focal point size for the 2 mast cameras but I need that one part they left out. Or if the camera man would just put a ruler next to it, that would help.

ok.. i'm still looking at the rat lizards pic.. the one with three panels
and the bottom right panel has lines
about the only thing i can do is blow it up a bit and dang if that doesn't look like a bunch of houses

and if you step back from the rat out there.. that could be an even larger building

like i said i have no idea of scale so  maybe it is just how i am looking at it

the lines look like a stockade around the buildings that are far apart

Yes.  I see it.

I found a pic today that had elements that suggested a destroyed statue of mega proportions.   I got it in TIFF from NASA/JPL (one of the two).  Interesting thing is the patina seems to suggest a recent destruction...  I'm still pouring over the photo and will bring what I see in to My "Yes, Mars" thread - unless You want Me to add them here.

Sky, maybe if we knew exactly where it was when it took the photo you could find the area on a map and back calculate the distances and then set photo frames up at those distances and measure the objects. If you get the X/Y location we can try...No matter what it will not be perfect but it will be close enough for gubermint work...
