Old Thread Banners Poll

I would like to see a show of votes about the message we get when posting on an old thread. I think many newbies will not pass that banner and proceed. They find a thread of interest and then a big red stop sign hits them. We all know we can go through it but do they? Or do they just back out and forget it like I did the first few times.

This forum chases so many ideas that even I can't get back to my own threads with out hitting the stop sign all the time. And then if we start a new topic on an old subject we hear, "Don't you guys ever read what we have already" I do see that all the time. Is that 120 day stopping newbies?

Peggy is in the process of expanding and road blocks are in the way for newbies.

So what exactly is the text in the banner, i forgot

Maybe it should read;

"Attention, this thread has not been posted in for some time, the original poster may no longer be a member, nor even be still alive, so don't count on a reply to your post anytime soon."

Besides, i never let a banner stop me, seen enough of them at ATS

Oh, this question was not ment to ask the members who post right by it. It was ment to change how the newbies see us and it they will post by or exit. Even I did an exit the first 2 or 3 times.

I am not seeing a lot of newbies post and wondering why. Are we too tough, Too soft or what. The site has opened up a lot but they still are not posting. If this is just one road block, i think we should ask Ron to smooth it out.

not being a newbie, I don't see what the big deal is...I log in to a lot of websites but don't necessarly post anything unless i find something that interests me...maybe that's the reason all these newbies don't post....nothing interesting as in...

For some people, reading through 10-20 pages of chit-chat and a page or two of the information that they might be looking for may not make them a top 20 thread just more active at the time. I like the idea of having your main threads and a discussion thread to seperate the wheat from the chaff.

Things i would like to see changed.members list culled of everybody who hasnt posted in two months.if your too lazy to post then your too lazy to research.if your too lazy to help with research then i dont think your wanted by the other members.

That being said .i think most kids are distracted by video games.where has everybody gone.if your a member with problems.please update us.we give of our time to this group.give us the respect you would a friend or family member.dont just drop off the world.
I know folks are just trying to survive but look at whats happened over the last five years with conspiracy forums.they are shrinking fast.is everybody getting alzeimers or what.with all the unemployment.there should be piles of bord people with nothing to do.where are they going?we need to survey and find out.maybe a mass email to all the members who have disappeared.did we piss them off or what.
On another note.i really like our new members.we need more like them.
Maybe we need a new format of real news.im so sick of all the slanted propaganda and lies.its hard to even turn on the telly.so much bs.i wish i could buy a shitty channel like food tv and turn it into a 24 hour real news channel.start our own ap wire of members.feeding real news.maybe have a prime time cop haten hour.where all we show is the latest abuses and highlite the cities and interview the mayors and chiefs of police.

El has an idea but i dont know how it would be formatted.maybe chat should take priority and a link at bottom of thread for hard core science and updates.i know it kinda goes against the idea of this forum but new info is getting harder to find.the noose of knowledge is being tightened alot lately.even high quality shows like nat geo and nova are slacking.the history channel is a joke now.so is discovery.

I also think we need a shill appendix.where a person could type in a name and easily find out if the person is a pos.we could have members name and his critic of shill.and evidence to back it up.maybe have a scale of sorts.one star maybe shill.ten stars highly probable.

We should have members at least from every english speaking country.why are there no canucks on here.i dont see them being represented on any conspiracy sites.

I think its a double hump.im 46.i think pwm is 49. a couple things i find frustrating is if i get off the site and back on the page is where i left it rather than automatically updating with all the new post.plus i think the clock is off.i thought i had mine set to central but its showing mountain.i just got whacked upside the forhead by a four inch green tree so my judgement may be off for a few years.slit and bloody oh yea.
