I'm young, I followed Zorgon over here.

I like the idea of recruitment, but some sites have rules on those issues... Aha.

I'd like to see the GUT over here and that Isaa UFO fellow.

When running a site like this, how much does recruitment play a part?

Theres two discussions going on .ones about getting quality rearchers fo the ig and pegasus.to enhance what pegasus stands for.but we are also talking about going all out and opening the doors on the level of glp.then i proposed we go after the big boys like washington post and fox.
ive never been much for rules.

I'd rather we kept it simple, we already have multiple threads on the same subject :P
We still need to get more organised, i want to throw a few projects out there for peeps to work on, at the same time get some more advanced stuff running in the IG.
Work work work...LOL

Guess i'll have to vote soon ::)

Z, Thank you for removing the 120 day post banner, See what happens. All of our threads will look fresh and the work the elders did will be available to post against without newbie fear. I thank you.

As far as the ideas tossed around , I like the newbie must do a post idea the best. At least say "Hi"  This also give all current members a heads up!  Right now newbie or Peglet will just show up in the middle of a post and we have no idea who they are. I guess if you don't have the rocks to say Hi, then why are you joining an active forum? Go read a book. Hey they work!

Maybe if they were to get an instruction list also in the email on how to do things. Every so many days we read I don't know how to do this or how do I post a picture. How do I capture a photo in a post, and so on. It is very complicated for non-computer people. In reality it is mostly very simple, I think this needs to be addressed.  Maybe I could help with another thread doing a layout of this and asking members to fill in the holes.  A "HOW TO DO IT NOTICE" Everything from making or getting an Avatar to posting a video or photo.  I think that this instruction notice should also be held up front for all to see and re-read when every anyone wants to. Updated by your secretary. lol

I also like what was mentioned about forbidden rooms and getting a message. Right now you just "DON"T SEE THEM" and have no idea they are there. They are a secrete. So good of a secrete we tend to forget them if we have access. Hey it looks open to me!  Now Log out and come back in without logging in and you will see it.. Huh, my thread is gone?  So what is there to inspire to if you don't even know it is there.

I can't find what I am looking for but somewhere it was mentioned we need a button for following threads. We have that now. It is on the bottom and reads "Notify me"  I use it all the time, am I the only one? It will treat that thread just like a new reply and follow it for you to your new reply button.

I would never delete a member for the lack of a post in a month. Hey, life gets in the way. I just took off almost 6 weeks to move. And then you have the problem of Deuem, Deuem 1, Deuem 2, Deuem 3 and so on. What a pain, I would think twice about it and move on. That is also very negative. We want positive, Like the bank does, " we seemed to have missed you and your payment is overdue", The longer it goes on the notice changes. Till OK, You never paid and we took your house. The game was that they did notify you.  Several times.

I like so far:

1) 120 day old post banner removed.. TYZ [thank you zorgon]
2) During sign up, a 1 post rule. Even Just "Hi" is Ok with me.
3) Instruction letter sent with sign up
4) Instruction Thread maintained up front
5) Being able to see rooms and getting a non access message.  hang the apple out vs bare tree
6) A top ten hit list sent out once a month. A very simple one with links.
7) Never killing a members Name, no matter what. Do a re-activate
8) Post I miss you email to missing members
9) Maybe once you hit 'Hero Level" you are grandfathered from the axe for life.

I mean who is gonna axe "John", he has been off for more than a month. See in some areas it does not make sense.... The 3 Amigos and so on are all over a month. What about when we have members end up in the hospital, like 1WW, do we axe them for being sick or left for Duty in a war zone.  Life does get in the way.

Wow, I would feel real bad about all of the above.. Getting a "We miss you" with a big wet kiss is better than getting an eviction notice any day....One of those means "you want me", the other means "go screw off looser".

Ok Robo #10 Posts should never removed unless they violate the rules of the forum Or by a group of admin finding a stalker or hunter. We have had several cases of that and there will be more if open.

just a thought after reading all the ideas
the one that jumped was that if you aren't signed in you don't know what you are missing
cause you can't see it

maybe the headin can show and that little thing that says.. you need to sign in to read could pop up if someone tries to read it...
all the threads are visible by heading but you can't read it if you aren't signed in..

and i hafta confess to a pet peeve in that if a thread has 20 comments all right after each other time wise ......that is all that is visible
you see the same heading 20 times by who posted

maybe just the heading can be visible so that more topics can be viewed..

my two cents
::)

Sky I am a little confussed on what section you're talking about. Is it the side banner with recent posts. If so I know what you mean. One time I did 20 post in a row and took over peggy. I have that snapsot some where. I did not realize what I had done to that list till I was done. I think you are asking for only 1 per topic and keep the field of view more open. y/n? Take out the duplicates?

Yes, very important to the family here. I like to try and give one to every new poster. Sorry if I missed any of you.  I do remember the very warm welcome I got when I joined and it made me feel at home and not just bum on the side lines.  If we ever get hundreds of newbies within a week or so, this will be a challenge to keep up with but we can try our best. Oh and if they just say Hi, don't pick on them..Say Hi back,

you got it Deuem..sorry i wasn't more clear  :(

I think zorgon misunderstood me.i agree with sky.like a top twenty most active threads.like glp and lop have.i wouldnt mind a anonymous  sign in.just in case we get a big fish.that way they can stay anon.totally anon.this would create a honey pot for new info.maybe even have an incryption app.for 99.9% security.our secret members should deserve to feel safe.
One thing i really despise is sign in using g+ fakebook etc.i dont use any of those and i dont want to start.keep those nosey bs out of our club.
Oh and i agree with the stalking deal .it should be takin care of but at the same time.a person should be allowed to have a thread to call out a shill or stalker.but they should also provide evidence if they are gonna do it.
I personally dont want to see things that bring the site bad publicity.but you have to admit that if one of our members went postal.it would sure increase traffic.

Well I just finished reading this thread, not all of it word for word but the bullet point's and about 60% of the word's !

I mention that becuase I posted in an old thread regarding "No Moon for the US" started by Sargent of Rock ;)

http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum/index.php?topic=4206.msg79095;topicseen#new

Q: Why do I mention that ?

A:  The reason we are all here is because we like what we read from dilligent people who questioned the official story... the very people who sort and sifted the information back in the day's when being able to chat instantly with other like minded people was new to most people.

Let's not forget that this ability to converse worldwide is quite new, and *The Ability to Present New Information through Research* and trying hard to find small details that don't fit the official story is a *bit on the less weighty side now* due to the scammer's along with a very pertient reason Zorgon Mentioned in regard's to a Lot of People... "They have made up their mind" to a certain degree, yet they are "Happy to Read".

In saying all that... our goal as a coordianted group in our own La La land is really about taking over this planet from tryanny and getting the message out there to people in their slumber as we may see it on a whole.  Oddly human's don't see eye to eye easily even on here, but we are attracted for a greater good for some unknown reason...  ;)

I really do think we have a good group here and I enjoy reading all the post's thats for sure, varied and electic to the power of Tesla, we are so varied though that we are not as co0ordinatited as we need that would make the changes in this site for now.  That is not a bad thing, thats Life on Earth.  But its a start to discuss how we can get on track with project's and fulfuil some of that laziness we know we all have and banish at least 10% of that lazy attitude that we all harbour and START to Get Something Done!

As someone who love's athlete's who do stuff that's pushing boundarys I won't bore you with Namaste,

All the Best

Fuuuuuckkk Yeeeahhh

Soma!  :)
