People like that are energy vampires.  Avoid and ignore.

You know what gets me, is the people begging for money that are using it for drugs.  It is probably the reason they are on the street to begin with.

However in the Movie Bruce Almighty, I always think of the scene at the last where god is playing a homeless guy.  Testing us.

No, I don't desire to beat people up after an ill experience.

Well, Soma, I doubt I would have done what you did. There are ways to deal with such people and those situations. But the way you handled it afterwards made it even worse. But then someone else arleady mentioned that.

Would I want that person for a "neighbor"? I doubt it unless he learned some respect for others and a nicer way to "panhandle". I came across a guy once that had a stick with a piece of string tied off the end of it and he was pretending to fish. His little sign said "Fishing for BEER." Honesty and his smile got him bucks.

But your attitude about beating this guy up, and wishing that you knew how and could, is even worse. Breaking all his bones, , tsk tsk tsk. That's way overboard.
Just a bitch slap and telling him to get some respect for people may have done the guy allot more good than breaking all his bones. Just a thought. Some instructions and teachings are learned only by violence and physical altercations.

At a younger age I was fully capable of teaching someone not to threaten me physically, now I require a little "helper", if I have to teach someone some manners.  8)

Norval you are quite right about my attitude in breaking his bones. IF I had 110% confidence in solving this person's issue it would not involve any bone breaking.  Alas I dont have that confidence and walked away!

Its funny at times with the web, we can share a lot of stuff but its hard to share how people's "On the Street" attitudes are in this circumstance.  I've now experienced two instance's of this sort of beheivour in this locatioon for no reason whatsoever.  I think people from the UK would understand the Government Housing Aspect as where this occured is very close to Gov Housing,  and even though most people are good people you do get little pockets of people who have let themselves down by letting the system get them down.  If I was a gambler I would put my money on METH being behind each instance without question.  And people on Speed/Meth when they are walking around threating people cannot be reasoned with.

The Last time I stood up to anyone for making comment's in the manner I described in the OP was almost 20 years ago to the day +- 10 days... In that case I was called a Long Haired SOMETHING... I Ended up with Three Layers of 45 Stitche's across my face.    ;D

Now the odd thing regarding this thread is how prior to moir posting this thread and also prior to the events detailed in this thread... I posted on another forum to a request for help in regards to someone who is taking on a very large Movie Studio for pilthering his idea.  I likened this guy to the Band Fugazi and he was flattered to be likened to Fugazi as They stood up and walked their talk.

Although in the heat of the moment and the poison which ensure's afterwards the ability to crush bone's doe's come to mind, and I am not in anyway remorseful for "THINKING" that. But where that thought can be confused is "Literally" taking that action. If a person posse's the ability to crush bones, they also the know they don't have to if you get my drift.  ;)

Maybe it's a man thing.  The testosterone poisoning, Y'know.

I NEVER really want to hit anyOne (though I may SAY I do just venting frustration).  Heck.  I don't hit the walls as I have seen some men do when They want to hit People.

;D

Amy I think Matrix is very correct in the description of this world.. Its mad!

At time's I do wonder if people from other worlds use our venacualr and put a note on their galactic maps that state's  "Crazy in the Coconut World..Enter at your own Risk" with fine print stating how insurance won't cover the trip to Earth!  ;D

I thank you for your comment along with everyone else's as sometimes as a current Human on Earth one has to open up a bit and let out with frustrations :)

Hey Mic this is whats get's me with what I posted to Norval in regards to how people act in different country's.

Here in Oz the pro's at begging are ok, they may or may not have drug problems but they never be prick's about it.  I am sure I will see this same guy hassling people again,  as in that certain pocket/area there a two women asking for money all the time who I see having younger men and women hanging off them. The difference is they are not homeless,  they run out of money for fun!

I've donated in the past to this org called swags for the homeless.  A Swag is sorta like a Bivy Bag.

Now that is a great product.

Very moving video.

In Salt Lake City  there was a beggar

He would get up every morning and put on his bum clothes and go to a favorite corner....

He was pulling in around $300.00 a day average...

At the end of the day he would go home...

To his million dollar mansion on Bonneville Ridge and his Ferrari in the driveway.

They caught on to him... the IRS tried to get him... but there is no income tax on proceeds received from begging, nor is there a LIMIT on how much you are allowed to collect.

True Story :D Made the Salt Lake news

Yeah mate its an awesome way of giving people who are REALLY homeless at least a bed to sleep in that works.  It doesn't solve the problem of why they are homeless, but after spending two weeks homeless in my car I found that a car wont even keep one warm in the cold periods.  AT least the cops that patrolled that area understood my plight at that time in life drinking booze so i could sleep with the engine running to get some warmth.   ;D

Thats what is sorta intruiging in regards to population size and people.  In Oz that would be almost impossible to get away with as people would sniff it out... I think ?

We do have pro's here though thats for sure, but No-One would want their life as even if they make a Benji a day it wont go far.

AT least with pro's i suppose is that they know not to be ill temprered fools, genuine folkes don't tend to be either... It's the ill fortuned folkes who have bite in their toungue which I described in my OP that seem to be the most needing in correction !

The SOB.  Good scam.

And then there is the issue of what percent of your charitable donations actually get where it is intended.

I wouldn't donate to this fund.

http://www.americanownews.com/story/19707005/how-much-of-your-donations-really-go-to-charity

QuoteA telemarketing company that conducted a campaign got more than 99 percent of the funds, leaving the Alzheimer's Association with only twelve-tenths of one percent of the Hawaii donations.
