Seriously, what?!

I do believe that the world may never know the true reason why the US invaded Iraq.  They could never give the true reason....

It was done with the primary intent of trying to duplicate the same success the US had with Japan and Germany.  Defeat them, wipe the slate clean and rebuild as a Nice, Pro-Western Consumer Nation.  After the horror of 9/11, this idea was seen as Salvation from a bleak future of entire nations becoming suicide bombers.

Iraq was (technically) secular, had solid oil reserve$ and there was a brief period of optimism about free elections in Arab nations.  But then the Arabs managed to wreck the whole idea ( Hey, the Kurds are happy, at least!).

We are now operating on Plan B:  wreck the Arab countries so completely, they will fight with each other fanatically Until The End Of Time.  This is an Israeli idea and (somewhat sadly) it is working incredibly well, if you look at Libya and Syria.

Having highly advanced technology (such as nukes) forces these awful choices on world leaders.  This is where I get a little skeptical about how nasty Illuminati rule the earth.  If they do, some of what they are forced to do needs a degree of forgiveness.  If any of you Aliens are reading this, you should help us out a little here.

actually, that was a deal the leader of the other form of islam made with the american war machine and its money managers.   it appears an entire sect of islam was massacred as were the few remaining christians (mostly catholics since the protestants were killed or chased out awhile ago).   it's social engineering on a global scale.

Umm.  Yea.  No.  And in it's current flux, not anytime soon.

John Baird compares Russia's actions in Ukraine to Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia

QuoteBaird, speaking to host Evan Solomon on CBC News Network's Power & Politics, accused Russia of invading and occupying Crimea, a part of Ukraine. "If it's not war, it's akin to war," he said.

At first, Baird said the situation was "right out of the Cold War." When Solomon pointed out Putin claims he is protecting Russian rights in Crimea, which has a majority of Russian-speaking citizens, Baird said, "The Sudetenland had a majority of Germans. That gave Germany no right to do this in the late 1930s."

Asked by Solomon if he was making a comparison to the Nazis, Baird replied, "When you have one country invading one of its neighbours, and using this type of outrageous and ludicrous rhetoric, it's hard not to."

It's ok...someone stenciled in "HUMANITARIAN AID" on each of the bombs so it doesn't count.  ;D

Countries enter the EU after a long process and only when all members accept it.

I don't know since when, but I know that's what I remember for all cases of new countries entering the EU.

Portugal presented its candidacy in 1977 and became a full EU member in 1986, after signing a pre-agreement in 1980.

True, our system is quite complex.
There are about 1000 highly paid morons who sit in big chairs in Brussels, read memo's they don't understand, vote on things they don't read & don't care about, and generally leech us dry.

But they produce a huge amount of documents nobody reads. :)

Yes, i remember when they did a world energy congress, used up 27 trucks full of paper.
Result of that congress; nothing.

Someone said they should have just sent the paper to Africa so they can cook dinner, that would have been doing something towards the energy crisis :D
