It was an emotional two hours. Last week's standoff between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Bundy Ranch supporters will undoubtedly endure as a pivotal moment in 21st century American – where, for the first time in living memory, federal despotism has held in check.

As 21WIRE reported previously, Clark County, Nevada Sheriff Douglas Gillespie had given thousands of Bundy supporters the false impression that the BLM, police and gov't contracted mercenary soldiers – would in fact be "standing down". Much to the public's surprise some two hours later, after making their way along the highway to release hundreds of seized Bundy cattle, they were met with multiple platoons of armed Federal agents and SWAT gunman in what can only be described as a type of ambush by a brutal US government.

Amongst the diverse crowd of Bundy family members and public who bravely volunteered themselves to be on the front line alongside the cowboys – and in the federal gun-sights – were women, specifically cowgirls on horseback (see their photo at bottom of article). This was one of the most powerful and enduring images which will undoubtedly go down in American history.

So, digging for the appropriate graphic, we figured we might as well flesh out the story of how John Lear and Ron (Zorgon) Schmidt got run off of their fully-legal 'mining claim' by a back-stabbing BLM teaming up with what many might consider a tasty dinner whilst in-country.   

The only thing better than easy target acquisition (other than dry socks    ) is a warm dinner and a cold beer back behind the wire.

The Bureau of Land Management says its 200-man armed siege of the Cliven Bundy ranch in Nevada is all about protecting an "endangered tortoise."

But a Natural News investigation has found that BLM is actually in the business of raking in millions of dollars by leasing Nevada lands to energy companies that engage in fracking operations.

This document from the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology shows significant exploratory drilling being conducted in precisely the same area where the Bundy family has been running cattle since the 1870's and where the legendary Lear/Zorgon 'Gold Mine' entrance to the trackless caverns below ties this heavy-handed tyrannical land-grab to not only Zorgon and the Tall Whites, but the Dulce base and Area 51... oops ... wrong file    Area 51 Area   

The "Gold Butte" area is indicated on the lower right corner of the document (see below), and it clearly shows numerous exploratory drilling operations have been conducted there.

What's also clear is that oil has been found in nearby areas and possibly even within the Gold Butte area itself.

It is, of course, customary for the U.S. government to bring armed soldiers to an oil dispute.

However, heavily armed snipers, helicopters and militarized soldiers have never before been deployed to protect the fauna or flora. As any Marine will tell you, in all previous operations, we merely ran over anything in our way at speed - including tortoises.

BLM collects $1.27 million in shale fracking leases
The Bureau of Land Management has just cashed in with $1.27 million in oil and gas leases in Nevada. This was just reported two weeks ago in ShaleReporter.com, which states:

U.S. Bureau of Land Management geologist Lorenzo Trimble tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the Elko County oil and gas leases sold Tuesday for $1.27 million to six different companies. The auction took place in Reno. The leases are near where Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. wants to drill for oil and natural gas on 40,000 acres of public and private land near the town of Wells.

The Review-Journal reports

the project would be the first in Nevada
to use hydraulic fracturing, or fracking,

to extract oil and gas from shale deposits.

The way this works, of course, is that BLM runs land theft operations by claiming they are "managing" the land and thereby kicking everyone else off it.

They then invoke a reptile, an owl, a bird, a snake or some other animal which they claim to be "saving," even while they are stealing and destroying hundreds of cattle belonging to a private rancher trying to make an honest living in a nation where productive Americans are increasingly branded "enemies of the state" by an increasingly oppressive administration like no other before in the history of the Republic.

Once control of the land is established via court order or by bringing armed men with automatic weapons, BLM then turns around and leases the land to fracking companies who proceed to exploit the land using hydraulic fracturing techniques that inject toxic chemicals into groundwater supplies (and have been linked to earthquakes).

The money collected by the BLM is then used to increase BLM salaries and bonuses, and invest in rather odd, if not nefarious projects involving off-shore investor partners (some who had to sue BLM in an attempt to get their money back) in such things as shipping container hydroponic lettuce farms - perhaps to feed the endangered tortoises - or is this another blip in the Matrix and actually reveals another method of survival for the elite in the DUMBS after TSHTF?   

And the investigation leads to a major 8-year attempt to corner the exploding hemp market...stay tuned...we have the documents secured off-line as information is being scrubbed at an alarming rate on all avenues relating to all of the above.

In essence,

the BLM is a
criminal mafia racket,

and Cliven Bundy, John Lear, Zorgon and other hard-working innocent Nevadans just happened to be in the way of their next target, the Gold Butte area of Nevada...collateral damage.

While miners, ranchers and county commissioners all across rural Nevada can attest to the Bureau of Land Management's arrogance and indolence, it takes a special level of hubris to openly and wantonly defy Congress and the law of the land.

Yet, when it comes to carrying out the instructions from Congress on the management of wild horses and burros under the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971, the BLM is so bold and so brazen as to write on its own website that it doesn't care one whit what the law says.

Sen. Reid Ups Threats Against Bundy Ranch Protestors, Calling Them 'Domestic Terrorists'



United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is upping his threats against the protestors at the Bundy ranch. Following his ominous declaration on Monday that the US government's confrontation with protestors at the Nevada ranch is "not over" despite the government having backed-off from its raid of the ranch, Reid is now calling the protestors "domestic terrorists."

In effect, Reid is urging the US government to make actions against the protestors a top priority and use all means available under the USA PATRIOT Act and otherwise against them.

Terming the protestors domestic terrorists is not a hollow rhetorical threat. Rather, it is a real classification under the law that carries dire consequences. Rutherford Institute President John W. Whitehead explained in 2011:
     
     The Patriot Act drove a stake through the heart of the Bill of Rights, violating at least six of the ten original amendments — the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Amendments — and possibly the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments, as well. The Patriot Act also redefined terrorism so broadly that many non-terrorist political activities such as protest marches, demonstrations and civil disobedience were considered potential terrorist acts, thereby rendering anyone desiring to engage in protected First Amendment expressive activities as suspects of the surveillance state.

The American Civil Liberties Union explained in 2002 that the USA PATRIOT Act's "overbroad definition of domestic terrorism" can subject some people exercising civil disobedience to new government powers including civil asset seizures without even a court hearing, US law enforcement access to tax records at the Internal Revenue Service, and more easily obtained search warrants. If Reid has his way, we may well see these and more police tactics used against the Bundy family and the Bundy ranch protestors in the coming days.

The Nevada Democrat said he had spoken in detail to Attorney General Eric Holder, FBI Director James Comey, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, as well as the Clark Country sheriff.

"Keep in mind what happened up there. There were hundreds, hundreds of people from around the country, that came there," Reid said. "They had sniper rifles on the freeway. They had assault weapons. They had automatic weapons."

.....The Kentucky Republican (Rand Paul ) said he doesn't want to see violence on either side and hopes the government doesn't provoke the situation.

"It shouldn't be about violence of arms, and I hope that the government will not be there in full arms and provoke a showdown and something terrible will happen," Paul said.

Yes no mainstream news outlet has covered this,
aside from Fox News, specifically Shawn Hannity.

CBS has ran a few artices, same with Washington Post.

I heard today on The Tom Sullivan Show that during
the time of the standoff in which the people would not
disperse, the BLM called for backup from the Police,
yet Governor Sandoval refused, and would not send
in back up. This may be why it ended with them pulling
out, as they were really outnumbered.

This also explains why it was only after the BLM
pullled out that the local Police did finally make
a presence.

I applaud Sandoval for this action.
It would have taken a different turn if Police
back up had been sent in.

The only coverage during this time of the event
is by few videos those who participated.

Last  I checked, the FAA shows airspace still closed.
