We thinks their 'stat counter' has a malfunction., as some members have millions of stars, etc.     

The counter does have a malfunction, but it only affects people that were already members at the time of the first big change in the forum software, if a post made before the change gets a star then the value added to the star counter is an absurdly high number, resulting in those millions of stars and affecting all other stats that are related to that.

They group the results anyway you want  like Education sites, Gov sites, military sites etc etc that visit your site

Many longer term members on PRC came from ATS and maybe other forums and had known other members and come to know some by 1st Name...

I am only a newby compared to many on here..and I only mainly know most of the members by their PRC names...but I only know a few by their real first names; and some maybe I had come across their name and maybe cannot recall who they were...

But as you suggest there maybe another John...It maybe that you suggest he maybe also CIA..or similar...

The thing with the likes of John lear and his connection and story..is he may have been connected to them but also may have had issues with them so may no longer have the same connection he initially had after his situation with Bob Lazar..

If there are also other similar members..would they have similar situations or are they spies / Spooks..reporting what may be being discussed on such forums..

Is this in relation to the forum "Z" or can you also do this to see who maybe visiting our own Computers maybe via our ISPs..?

If they are able to access PRC and obtain members details and then keep check on each of us ?

If so it may explain why my computer plays up so much.

If it was the likes of the CIA more than likely they have advanced spyware that no antivirus will even detect to remove it..if they had managed to place such spyware on our computers..

I had a website hacked and was given a virus about 6 years ago that no AV was able to detect and it totally destroyed all my webpages and infected my P.C at the time.. I tried all the AVs to try to resolve my computer and it never ran the same ever again..

where it came from I don't know..

or maybe there are always viruses around that AV programs are not able to heal..

If that image really is something Thor saw after logging in then there's something wrong with it, but those are not an ATS user stats, those are stats relating to what happened since the last time an user logged in to ATS and appear only to give an idea of what has been happening.
As I never log out I do not bother with those.

Edited to add that, looking better at the stats image, I can see that there's no user name at the beginning of the text, so that's nobody's stats.

That's the kind of information a server gets from the browsers that ask for the pages. Whenever you visit a site the site's server gets information about your IP address (so it can know where to send the response), what browser you are using (it may make a difference in the response you get from the server) and some more information, like what page you were looking at before you navigated to that specific page, so the server can know if you came to that page from some other site that has a link to it.

That information is only accessible on the server, so "they" would need direct access to the server.

The problem with anti-virus is that they either know exactly what some virus looks like or they react to any thing slightly suspicious. If some program is made to avoid those things it will be ignored by the anti-virus. And we can all suspect that the anti-virus companies can get some "visitors" that ask them to look the other way when they find something.

Always has, always will be, because of the way virus work.
Today's most common malware are not even behave like virus, as they do not reproduce from computer to computer, they infect a computer and remain there, either injecting adverts on people's browsers or giving access to other people so they can control the computer and use it either for more advert distribution or create those large networks of computers used in the distributed denial of service attacks done on some servers.

Actually to the website  as the forum is a sub directory of that website. ANY IP address is logged at the server... that is why people try to use proxy servers to hide their point of origin

Those lists are visitor stats. Shows who visited from where  To check up on you they need access to the server. Even the NSA still needs papers to do that   They can however register an account and just have someone listen to you blabbering   and wait for you to put your foot into it \

Your WORST enemy is ADVERTISERS!  THEY spy on you all the time and get you to add tool bars and apps and hidden spyware  all in the name of getting you to BUY  That is what it is all about. It is the only reason they watch you... so they can barrage you with ads based on what you like.  That clogs up the system, makes adobe flash CRASH your system and requires constant updates of spotware to keep fixing the crash issues caused by marketers\

Why?  what would they gain? are YOU a terrorist in hiding?  They cannot spy on your computer if it is in stealth mode   You cannot access that which you cannot find

Once a virus is let onto your computer and runs no existing anti virus will fix it. A hacker can mess things up, so you need a strong server that is hack proof  They cannot hack your website until they get past the server security. problem is with many free website offers you have no protection.

MOST viruses and hackers get in because you let them without realizing it. Those shared emails of some funny letter are the worst.  Best solution is keep all your files on a D drive and just use the C drive for the operating system. They cannot hack the D drive and neiter can a virus write to it

emails. scripts hidden on websites (porn sites are the worst, but conspiracy sites come second and actually may be top by now) Those photo share sites like "10 fuuniest photos" are really bad  but they are most likely to infect you with adware and tracking

There are always new viruses etc that need you to constantly update the AV software weekly and yes free AV ware doesn't fix everything as you are getting the free version

HOWEVER if you are in stealth mode and have a good firewall that blocks OUTGOING communication then nothing will get in to your system

most firewalls block incoming stuff  but not outgoing. So a program can install a script and dial out your info  Outgoing blockage is a nuisance at first because you have to give permissions for programs like your browser  AND you have to be careful to not get lazy or annoyed and just click ACCEPT when you get notified (my wife does this defeats the purpose of the firewall)

As for a website getting hacked. any good server will have a clean backup copy  but you should have a copy at home anyway. I do all my work at home on my version then just use FTP to upload the changes  As the computer does it faster I just upload the whole section and set it to ignore any same size files

Never logging out does NOT mean you are actively on the forum when you are sleeping. It simply means a cookie keeps your account status as 'active' meaning everytime you open the browser you are automatically logged in again.  I do this on all my accounts like Ebay etc  But if your computer is off or your browser closed you will not appear as being online

Bandwidth has not been an issue on servers for a very very long time. Our server is unlimited traffic and unlimited bandwidth  and all our activity on all my sites and forum barely moves the meter

The ONLY issue related to bandwidth these days is IF you have tons of big files for download like music and videos   And then it is only a problem if some asshat sets a robot to repeatedly download a big file. (That is why ALL of pegasus's files are offline... but then NO ONE has ever requested to see even ONE)
