Libya attack: Obama vows justice for killed US envoy

QuoteUS President Barack Obama has vowed to bring to justice the killers of the US ambassador to Libya during protests against a film that mocks Islam.

But he told reporters that the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi would not break the bonds between the US and the new Libyan government.

Mitt Romney, Mr Obama's political foe, criticised the handling of the crisis.

Ambassador J Christopher Stevens reportedly died of smoke inhalation after a crowd stormed the consulate.

Three other Americans were also killed, amid reports that rocket-propelled grenades had been fired during the assault on Tuesday night.

The consulate was set ablaze and a charred car could be seen parked near the damaged buildings on Wednesday.

A US marine anti-terrorism team is being sent to Libya to bolster security after the attack, a US defence source told reporters in Washington.

Protesters against the film also attacked the US embassy in Cairo on Tuesday night.

CNN adds that the embassy had been expecting a demonstration and cleared all diplomatic personnel earlier from the facility.

QuoteReuters reports that protesters tried to raise a black flag carrying the slogan: "There is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger."

QuoteEgyptian protesters on Tuesday took down the American flag from the walls of the US embassy in Cairo during a thousands-strong demonstration held to condemn a short film produced by California-based American-Israeli Sam Bacile, which critics say demeans Islam and the Prophet Mohammed.

The film was initially thought to have been produced by members of the Coptic Diaspora. Maurice Sadek, a conservative Coptic Christian living in the US, and controversial Pastor Terry Jones, who is known for his burning of the Quran, are believed to have been promoting the film but were not involved in its production, according to reports in the Wall Street Journal.

This crap hits close to home for me; last nite, at 906 pm eastern time, I received a phone call from my company delivery driver, telling me that his brother in law had been killed in LIbya; the details he gave me were sketchy, just enough so I would know the situation at hand for him;

I received word this afternoon that he and his wife would be flying to DC tomorrow to receive his brother in law's remains, that he was killed at Benghazi, and the Potus and Hillary are supposed to meet with them at this time.

It just pisses me off that there was very little if any security at the facility.

I am still waiting for Muslims to acknowledge the fact that the only reason why the rest of us sometimes feel an urge to burn a Qu'ran, is solely because we know that they are determined not to allow us to do so.

They do not rule this planet; not yet.

This is not about some low budget film produced by a no name
person who has all but dissapeared after his initial "press release".

That film was released in July. So...what have these extremists,
who are also connected to The Muslim Brotherhood been doing
since July (WELL THAT IS BESIDES TAKING 1.5 MILLION IN AID
FROM OBAMA AND HILLARY) ???

Waiting for instructions, thats what. This is such an obvious
coordination, and of course Apologizer in Cheif Obama takes
breaks from intelligence briefs, and Secretary of State Clinton
is probably in a bar dancing, and Joe Biden is probably eating
a cheeseburger somewhere, with a biker chick on his lap.

And....even Clinton issued a statement citing the movie
and apologizing. Well....let me just say this, what a crock.

A crock of lies told, this is not about that movie. Yes,
they used the movie as a propaganda piece, nothing new
about that.

Propaganda is as old as war.

Wake up and smell the Caliphate a brewing.

Libya consulate attack came after militants joined protesters, say witnesses, officials

QuoteAt least an hour before the assault began, a stream of cars was seen moving toward the U.S. Consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi. By late evening, as many as 50 heavily armed militants had gathered outside its high walls. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/chaos-at-the-consulate-as-militants-attack/2012/09/12/f92ad9d2-fcfe-11e1-8adc-499661afe377_story.html

So in otherwords, 50 black sedans and SUV arrive with heavily armed
"militants". Hmmmm sure sounds like a provocation, aka known as
an act of war. This is an attack on the U.S. Consulate, as if American
soil.

Was this The Muslim Brotherhood and Company? Al Qaeda?

It was certainly more than civilian protesters.

Hillary Clinton: How could this happen in a country we helped liberate?

QuoteSecretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted this morning that the attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya was "not easy" for Americans.

"Today many Americans are asking, indeed I asked myself, 'How could this happen? How could this happen in a country we helped liberate? In a city we helped save from destruction?'" Clinton asked.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/hillary-clinton-how-could-this-happen-in-a-country-we-helped-liberate.html (http://www.prisonplanet.com/hillary-clinton-how-could-this-happen-in-a-country-we-helped-liberate.html)

::) Reallyyy you DON'T Know Hillary?

QuoteNATO Knowingly Handed Libya to Al Qaeda

Indeed, the US Army's West Point Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) noted that Benghazi and the neighboring city of Darnah served a disproportionately high role in supplying foreign fighters to wage terror against the people of Iraq and Afghanistan – foot soldiers brought in to fuel a destructive and divisive sectarian war that undermined a united Sunni-Shi'ia resistance to Western troops who had invaded.

The men McCain was defending were Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) militants, terrorists linked directly with Al Qaeda according to West Point reports (.pdf), and listed to this day by the US State Department, the UK Home Office (.pdf), and the UN as a "foreign terrorist organization." McCain was not only rhetorically supporting listed terrorists, but calling for material support including weapons, funds, training, and air support in direct violation of USC § 2339A & 2339B, "providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations."

Al-Qaeda Leader Strikes Deal With U.S., Saudis To Send 5,000 Fighters to Syria

QuoteTariq al-Fadhli, jihadist leader of the Southern Yemen insurgency and a man personally trained by Bin Laden, has successfully negotiated with U.S. and Saudi officials to send 5,000 jihadist fighters via Turkey to aid Syrian rebels in the attempted overthrow of President Bashar Al-Assad, reports AlAlam. The report was also picked up by AdenAlghad.net.

In a newspaper interview, al-Fadhli revealed that he had agreed to transfer 5,000 militants from the southern Yemen cities of Zanzibar and Jaar "to Syria in order to fight in war being waged by armed groups, including the Al Qaeda-linked groups against the Syrian regime."

Hillary Clinton Admits US and Al-Qaeda On Same Side in Syria

QuoteSecretary of State Hillary Clinton has admitted that Al-Qaeda and other groups on the State Department's terror list are on the same side as the United States in Syria and that they are aiding opposition rebels.

In an interview with BBC News (watch video), Clinton states, "We have a very dangerous set of actors in the region, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, and those who are on our terrorist list, to be sure, supporting – claiming to support the opposition [in Syria]."

Clinton's admission that Al-Qaeda is supporting the armed insurrection in Syria dovetails with reports that the same Al-Qaeda terrorists who helped overthrow Colonel Gaddafi in Libya were airlifted into Syria by NATO forces.

Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri's has also publicly expressed support for Syrian rebel forces.

Whose Spring? The CIA's Hand In The Rise of Islamists And International Terrorist Groups

QuoteThe Muslim Brotherhood has been combated by nations across the Arab World to stem the tide of their sectarian extremism, violence, and their targeted erosion of secular nation-states. Ironically, the US which has claimed to have been fighting the forces of sectarian extremism and "terrorism" for over a decade now, have been revealed as the primary enabler of the most violent and extreme terrorist organizations in the world. These include, in addition to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) in Libya, Baluch terrorists in Pakistan, and the Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK) currently based in Iraq and being used as proxies against Iran." - Tony Cartalucci, "CONFIRMED: US CIA Arming Terrorists in Syria."

"Apparently, the CIA, Mossad and the Muslim Brotherhood are all close friends." - Aangirfan, "Who Loves The Muslim Brotherhood?"

It is curious that the people who opposed U.S. imperialism in Iraq and criticized the Bush administration for manipulating world public opinion to legitimize the U.S. invasion are now supporting U.S. imperialism in Syria and defend the Obama administration's policy of regime change in that country.

Here we go... the political campaign heats up...

Romney 'Outraged' Over Obama 'Sympathy' for Embassy Attackers

QuoteMitt Romney came out firing this evening against the Obama administration's feckless response to the attacks on American embassies in Libya and Egypt. His campaign just released his statement moments ago:

I'm outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It's disgraceful that the Obama Administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.

When Romney mentions the Obama administration "sympathizing" with "those who waged the attacks," he refers to this statement, released prior to the Embassy storming in Cairo by the State Department:

The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others......

WASHINGTON — In a highly unusual rebuff to a close ally as tension increases over how to deal with Iran's nuclear programme, the White House has said President Barack Obama would not meet Benjamin Netanyahu during the Israeli prime minister's US visit later this month.

The apparent snub, coupled with Mr Netanyahu's sharpened demands for a tougher US line against Iran, threatened to plunge US-Israeli relations into crisis and add pressure on Mr Obama in the final stretch of a tight presidential election campaign.

An Israeli official, who declined to be identified, said the White House had refused Mr Netanyahu's request to meet Mr Obama when the Israeli leader visits the U S to attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, telling the Israelis "the president's schedule will not permit that".

'Innocence Of Muslims' Filmmaker Identified By Law Enforcement As Nakoula Basseley Nakoula
The Huffington Post  |  By Kia Makarechi Posted: 09/13/2012 10:48 am Updated: 09/13/2012 11:09 am

Law enforcement has identified Nakoula Basseley Nakoula as the man behind "Innocence of Muslims," the anti-Islam movie that is widely blamed for riots around the world, the AP reports.

Nakoula
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/13/nakoula-basseley-nakoula-innocence-of-muslims-anti-islam-movie_n_1880175.html?utm_hp_ref=entertainment
had previously claimed he had a role in the film's creation, but insisted he was not the director. Earlier reports centered around a certain Sam Bacile, but many doubts have been cast on Bacile's identity. Cell phones tied to Bacile and Nakoula traced to the same address.

From the AP's earlier reporting:

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, told The Associated Press in an interview outside Los Angeles Wednesday that he managed logistics for the company that produced "Innocence of Muslims," which mocked Muslims and the prophet Muhammad.
The movie has been blamed for inflaming mobs that attacked U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya this week as well as U.S. Embassy in Yemen on Thursday.

Nakoula ran afoul of the law in 2010, when he pleaded no contest to federal bank fraud charges after being indicted in a somewhat intricate scheme involving fake bank accounts created using stolen Social Security numbers. He was given a 21 month prison sentence and had to pay $790,000.

Actors in "Innocence of Muslims" say they were duped
http://gawker.com/5942748/it-makes-me-sick-actress-in-muhammed-movie-says-she-was-deceived-had-no-idea-it-was-about-islam
by the man claiming to be Bacile, and that the film as they knew it was not about Islam. One actress claims all the offensive references were dubbed over the lines the cast actually read. The movie was originally titled "Desert Warriors."

More on Nakoula is available in an earlier story.

Timbuktu: Destruction of cultural heritage

QuoteA radical Islamist militia group, Ansar Dine, with links to Al-Qaeda are destroying the cultural heritage of Timbuktu, a country which was a prominent centre of Islamic learning in the 15th and 16th centuries. Phillip will discuss these developments with author Tahir Shah who writes in his new book that for centuries, the greatest explorers of their age were dispatched from the power-houses of Europe — London, Paris and Berlin — to be the first white Christian to visit, and then to sack, the fabled metropolis of Timbuktu.

Sufi religious sites attacked and destroyed in Libya

QuoteNews Flash: On Friday, 25th August, a group attacked the tomb of 15th-Century scholar Abdel Salam al-Asmar in Zlitan, about 160km (100 miles) south-east of Tripoli, Lybia. The Reuters news agency said its dome had collapsed. The attack came a day after hardliners the deviants were accused of damaging the tomb of a Sufi scholar in the city of Zlitan.

A shrine in the Libyan capital Tripoli venerating a Sufi Muslim saint has been partly destroyed - the latest in a series of attacks blamed on ultra-conservative Salafi Islamists by neo-Khajirites.

There has recently been an international outcry over the destruction of centuries-old shrines in Timbuktu, Mali. (Source: BBC)

On Sunday 26th August 2012 the Salafis deviants came at night 3 AM while people were sleeping and dug out the blessed resting place of Hazrat Shaykh Ahmad Zaruq Alayhi Rahma. Shaykh Ahmed Zarruq, one of Islam's greatest scholars ever. These cowardly men have been digging up, bombing and bulldozing sacred grave sites in Libya for the past week.

It is also reported that the vandals have taken the blessed body of Shaykh Ahmad Zarruq and removed it at unknown location and the Salafis the neo-Khajirites are on their way to destroy the tomb of a blessed companion (sahabi), Ruwayfi' b. Thabit al-Ansari in Libya. (Credit: Journey of a Seeker of Sacred Knowledge).

This falls in a series of incidents of rising ignorance. In October 2011, raids on Libyan Sufi sites included the desecration of the Al-Masry shrine in Tripoli and the extraction from their burial crypts within it of the bodies of two Muslim scholars, Abdul-Rahman al-Masri and Salem Abu Seif  and reburied according to the principles of the hardline Wahabi school. In January 2012 fanatics had wrecked the cemetery of Sidi Ubaid in Benghazi, stealing 31 corpses.

The shrine of the fifteenth/sixteenth-century C.E. Sufi Sidi Abdul-Salam Al-Asmar Al-Fituri, at Zliten in western Libya, was targeted four months ago, in March 2012 by one hundred carloads of armed fundamentalists, according to the Libya Herald, a post-revolutionary media source.

Afghan Taliban Begin Destruction of Ancient Buddha Statues

QuoteKABUL - Ignoring an international outcry, Afghanistan's puritanical Taliban Islamic militia began demolishing statues across the country on Thursday, including two towering ancient stone Buddhas.

Taliban Minister of Information and Culture Qudratullah Jamal told AFP the destruction of scores of pre-Islamic figures, designed to stop the worshipping of "false idols," had begun throughout the country.

(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/Taller_Buddha_of_Bamiyan_before_and_after_destruction.jpg/727px-Taller_Buddha_of_Bamiyan_before_and_after_destruction.jpg)
Undated photo of the world's tallest statue of Bhudda measuring 53 meters (175 feet) in Bamiyan, 125 kilometers (90 miles) west of Kabul in Afghanistan. Supreme Commander of the Taliban Mullah Mohammad Omar had ordered the destruction of all statues in Afghanistan, including the centuries-old Buddha in Bamiyan, and armed Taliban troops fanned out across the country Thursday to implement the supreme leader's order. (AP Photo)
He said militiamen started wrecking the almost 2,000-year-old Buddhist masterpieces in the central province of Bamiyan, including the world's tallest standing Buddha measuring 50 meters (165 feet), after sunrise.

"The work started about five hours ago but I do not know how much of it (the two Bamiyan Buddhas) has been destroyed," Jamal said. "It will be destroyed by every means. All the statues are being destroyed."

He said Taliban soldiers were at "work" in the Kabul museum and elsewhere in the provinces of Ghazni, Herat, Jalalabad and Kandahar.

An edict announced Monday by the militia's supreme leader, Mulla Mohammad Omar, calling for the destruction of all statues in line with "Islamic" laws, has caused shock around the world.

Afghanistan is home to an array of pre-Islamic historic treasures from its days as a key stop on the ancient Silk Road and a strategic battleground for conquerers dating back to Alexander the Great and the Aryans before him.

The two massive Bamiyan Buddhas, carved into a sandstone cliff near the provincial capital in central Afghanistan, stand 50 meters (165 feet) and 34.5 meters (114 feet) tall and were built around the second century.

Appeals for their preservation have come from the United States, France, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Pakistan, Germany, Russia, India and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Koichiro Matsuura, chief of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), said he had convened an emergency meeting of members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to try to stop the destruction.

"They are destroying statues that the entire world considers to be masterpieces," Matsuura said.

"And this is being done in the name of an interpretation of the Muslim faith that is not recognized anywhere else in the world."

But Afghan Foreign Minister Wakil Ahmad Mutawakel said the edict was irreversible. "Have you ever seen any decision of the Islamic Emirate (Taliban) reversed?" Mutawakel asked.

Islamic Clerics Call on Egypt to Destroy Great Pyramids

QuoteIslamic Spring.
Several Islamic clerics called on Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammad Morsi to destroy the great pyramids and finish the work of Mohammad companion Sahabi Amr bin al-As.
AINA reported:

According to several reports in the Arabic media, prominent Muslim clerics have begun to call for the demolition of Egypt's Great Pyramids–or, in the words of Saudi Sheikh Ali bin Said al-Rabi'i, those "symbols of paganism," which Egypt's Salafi party has long planned to cover with wax. Most recently, Bahrain's "Sheikh of Sunni Sheikhs" and President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud, called on Egypt's new president, Muhammad Morsi, to "destroy the Pyramids and accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not."

This is a reference to the Muslim Prophet Muhammad's companion, Amr bin al-As and his Arabian tribesmen, who invaded and conquered Egypt circa 641. Under al-As and subsequent Muslim rule, many Egyptian antiquities were destroyed as relics of infidelity. While most Western academics argue otherwise, according to early Muslim writers, the great Library of Alexandria itself–deemed a repository of pagan knowledge contradicting the Koran–was destroyed under bin al-As's reign and in compliance with Caliph Omar's command.

However, while book-burning was an easy activity in the 7th century, destroying the mountain-like pyramids and their guardian Sphinx was not–even if Egypt's Medieval Mamluk rulers "de-nosed" the latter during target practice (though popular legend still attributes it to a Westerner, Napoleon).

Now, however, as Bahrain's "Sheikh of Sheikhs" observes, and thanks to modern technology, the pyramids can be destroyed. The only question left is whether the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt is "pious" enough–if he is willing to complete the Islamization process that started under the hands of Egypt's first Islamic conqueror.

Nor is such a course of action implausible. History is laden with examples of Muslims destroying their own pre-Islamic heritage–starting with Islam's prophet Muhammad himself, who destroyed Arabia's Ka'ba temple, transforming it into a mosque.

In December the Salafist Party in Egypt, which just won 20 percent of the vote, wanted to cover the "idolatrous" Giza pyramids with wax.
Now they want to blow them up.

Islamic Clerics Call on Egypt to Destroy Great Pyramids (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/07/islamic-clerics-call-to-destroy-great-pyramids-in-egypt/)

Holy hoax: Radical Islamists call on Egypt to destroy pyramids

QuoteCalls from a Bahraini Sunni cleric to destroy Egypt's Great Pyramids have been revealed as a hoax. The demands were made from a Twitter account which claimed to be owned by Bahrain's President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud.

In the post, a person masquerading as al-Mahmoud labeled the pyramids "idolatrous" and asked Egypt's new president to destroy them, as Egypt's Daily News reports.

Several conservative websites used the news to raise alarm over the rise of Egypt's Islamist government.

According to rumors, al-Mahmoud encouraged Cairo to "accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not."

This was a reference to the Muslim Prophet Mohammed's companion, Amr bin al-As, and his ancient tribesmen who invaded and conquered Egypt in 641.

An Islamization process was begun under his rule – which saw many Egyptian monuments destroyed as "relics of infidelity."

However, demolishing the pyramids was prohibited during the 7th century – so the structures remained untouched.

The parody tweet was published on June 25 – the same day Muhammed Morsi was announced president of Egypt. However, it wasn't picked up by media until today.

The fake tweet that sparked frenzy in the Arab Media coincided with a genuine attack on cultural heritage objects by radicals.

On Tuesday, Islamist fighters destroyed two tombs at the famous Djingareyber mosque in the Malian city of Timbuktu. Witnesses say militants shot into the air to warn people away while they smashed the shrines.

A still from a video shows Islamist militants destroying an ancient shrine in Timbuktu on July 1, 2012 (AFP Photo)

QuoteThe mosque is a UNESCO World Heritage site and contains shrines dedicated to Islamic saints.

The Al-Qaeda-linked Ansar Dine group claimed responsibility for the act, saying the shrines were idolatrous.

The International Criminal Court has condemned the destruction of the tombs, and warned that it could constitute a war crime.

The act has led many to ask why Islamic militants would choose to demolish their own religious heritage.

A spokesman for the Ansar Dine group, Oumar Ould Hamaha, told AP that the organization has "divine orders" to destroy any grave that is over 20cm tall, because anything taller encourages people to direct their prayer toward the deceased, rather than to God.

Hamaha says residents of Timbuktu need to get their priorities straight and stop confusing the saints with Allah. He claims the destruction is for their own good.

But the militants aren't solely focused on demolishing Muslim heritage; other religions have fallen victim to destruction, as well.

In 2001, the Taliban's supreme leader issued an order against un-Islamic graven images.

The edict resulted in members using exposives, tanks, and anti-aircraft weapons to blow apart two images of Buddha in eastern Afghanistan.

Who Destroyed Alexandria's Famous Library?

Early in the year A. D. 642, Alexandria surrendered to Amrou, the Islamic general leading the armies of Omar, Caliph of Baghdad. Long one of the most important cities of the ancient world and capital of Byzantine Egypt, Alexandria surrendered only after a long siege and attempts to rescue the city by the Byzantines. On the orders of Omar, Caliph of Baghdad, the entire collection of books (except for the works of Aristotle) stored at the Library of Alexandria were removed and used as fuel to heat water for the city's public baths.

The final individual to get blamed for the destruction is the Moslem Caliph Omar. In 640 AD the Moslems took the city of Alexandria. Upon learning of "a great library containing all the knowledge of the world" the conquering general supposedly asked Caliph Omar for instructions. The Caliph has been quoted as saying of the Library's holdings, "they will either contradict the Koran, in which case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so they are superfluous." So, allegedly, all the texts were destroyed by using them as tinder for the bathhouses of the city. Even then it was said to have taken six months to burn all the documents.

2500 years later... they still have learned nothing nor changed...

I have only ONE question...

IF this sentiment is SINCERE...

IF the vast MAJORITY of Islam feels this way...

IF only ONE percent of Islam is fanatics and murderers...

Then WHY does this vast majority not DO SOMETHING and clean their own house?

Put up or Shut up...

If you sincere,  then the world will have your back...

It really is that simple

Okay at least SOMEONE mentioned it at ATS

Bravo pavil   That post needs stars and requotes

pavil

While I appreciate the thoughts and sentiments, what I am really looking for is concrete actions. Why haven't the AQ inspired militia groups been "taken care of" yet? I saw pictures of Libyans trying to help those US embassy personal, for that I am thankful, but it wasn't enough to prevent it.

I really do want to see freedom and democracy ect thrive with the Arab Spring revolutions, more so for the people of the region than for any geopolitical reason. But so far all I have seen is the power vacuum of one dictator rapidly replaced by yet another dictator. The real foot soldiers of the Arab Spring, the people yearning for freedom, have just exchanged one master for another, I fear. Those foot soldiers need to stay vigilant and ready to protest again.

Does anyone really think that the Muslim Brotherhood will ever hold free and fair elections in Egypt again? Myself I doubt it, especially the way they are going after groups and people not supporting them. Shutting down media outlets, replacing posts with cronies....... where have I seen this story before?

U.S. vows to hunt down perpetrators of Benghazi attack

QuoteWashington (CNN) -- The United States on Wednesday vowed to avenge the killings of its ambassador to Libya and three other Americans, moving warships toward the Libyan coast and preparing to track the suspected perpetrators with surveillance drones, officials said.

The slain ambassador, Chris Stevens, helped save Libya's eastern city of Benghazi during last year's revolution. He died there Tuesday night, along with another diplomat and two State Department security officers, when a mob stormed the U.S. Consulate and set it ablaze.

The Benghazi consulate was one of several American diplomatic missions that faced protests after the online release of a film that ridiculed Muslims and depicted the Prophet Mohammed as a child molester, womanizer and ruthless killer.

QuoteLibya's leaders apologized for the attack, with Prime Minister Abdurrahim el-Keib calling it a "cowardly, criminal act." And Obama said that despite the inflammatory movie, the violence was unwarranted.

"Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others," he said. "But there is absolutely no justification for this type of senseless violence -- none."

Navy ships sent to waters off Libya coast
Published September 12, 2012 Fox News

QuoteTwo Navy guided missile destroyers are being deployed off the coast of Libya, after attacks Tuesday on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi left four Americans dead, including the U.S. ambassador, military officials told Fox News.

The destroyers are for "contingency purposes," a military official said.

In addition, officials said a "fast team" of 50 Marines was being sent from the U.S. Naval base in Rota, Spain. They are expected to go to Tripoli. According to a U.S. official, there are no U.S. personnel left at the consulate in Benghazi which was attacked.

A U.S. military aircraft is also expected to leave Libya soon with the dead and wounded onboard.

The move comes after President Obama ordered "all necessary resources" provided to Libya to support the security of U.S. personnel in the country.

In a statement, Obama also said he's directed his administration to "increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe."
Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other American staff members were killed in the attacks Tuesday.

U.S. posts are on alert amid protests, so far in Libya and Egypt, over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad.

A senior military official clarified Wednesday that despite some reports, no Marines were killed in the Tuesday attack.

Embassy clashes in Yemen
4 killed as Yemeni police, demonstrators clash at U.S. Embassy
September 13, 2012

QuoteThree protesters were injured when Yemeni police fired on an angry demonstration outside the American Embassy in the capital of Sanaa.

Sanaa, Yemen (CNN) -- Violent clashes outside the U.S. Embassy in Yemen's capital left four protesters dead, Yemeni security officials said Thursday.

Twenty-four security force members were reported injured, as were 11 protesters, according to Yemen's Defense Ministry, security officials and eyewitnesses.

Protesters and witnesses said one protester was critically injured when police fired on them as they tried to disperse the angry crowd.

The protests in Sanaa are the latest to roil the Middle East over the online release of a film produced in the United States that denigrates the Prophet Mohammed.

As evening came, the number of protesters dwindled and tensions began to ease, after a day in which demonstrators breached a security wall and stormed the embassy amid escalating anti-American sentiment.

No embassy personnel were harmed, U.S. officials said.

The solution, which is really quite simple, is to point out the only artifacts left will be Western ones, and they will complete Western history as absolute since the Muslim world will have no way to prove their heritage.

Maybe the WAR is actually between ROME and Islam ?

And we are being sucked into it.

From the Roman Collection of writings (called the ROMAN bible)

To be viewed as a Historical writing and NOT religion !

"The Book of DANIEL"...  Ch. 11 verses 41 to 45  Quote;

Quote41
He shall enter also into the glorious land,
and many countries shall be overthrown:
but these shall escape out of his hand,
even Edom, and Moab,
and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries:
and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43
But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver,
and over all the precious things of Egypt:
and the Libyans and the Ethiopians
shall be at his steps.

44
But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him:
therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy,
and utterly to make away many.

45
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas
in the glorious holy mountain;
yet he shall come to his end,
and none shall help him.

WHO is HIM ?

RELIGION ?

QuoteQuestion: About you being the incarnation of the bodhisattva of infinite compassion, Avalokiteshvara. How do you personally feel about this? Is it something you have an unequivocal view of one way or another?

Answer: It is difficult for me to say definitely. Unless I am engaged in a meditative effort, such as following my life back, breath by breath, I couldn't say exactly. We believe that there are four types of rebirth. One is the common type wherein, a being is helpless to determine his or her rebirth, but only reincarnates in dependence on the nature of past actions. The opposite is that of an entirely enlightened Buddha, who simply manifests a physical form to help others. In this case, it is clear that the person is Buddha. A third is one who, due to past spiritual attainment, can choose, or at least influence, the place and situation of rebirth. The fourth is called a blessed manifestation. In this the person is blessed beyond his normal capacity to perform helpful functions, such as teaching religion. For this last type of birth, the person's wishes in previous lives to help others must have been very strong. They obtain such empowerment. Though some seem more likely than others, I cannot definitely say which I am.

ooops, daler mehndi (the guy in the video) is a sikh not a sufi.
well, anyway, sufis are mystic muslims.  the current
trend is to take away any connection people might have
to the spiritual and replace it with the worship of the
animal flesh body, exclusively.  this not only severs our
connection to the divine without or within but makes us
into little more than a pack of animals, thus survival of the
fittest scenarios escalate with abandon.

if there is no moral, spiritual,
ethical or humanitarian reason to spare each other's lives, depopulation
is sure to follow with a vengeance.  one of the reasons i am not interested in full scale atheism.   the one feature that makes all
the religions on the planet, unpalatable to atheists, is the one thing
they don't recognize in themselves:  it's unbelief that drives the
religions to behave outside their beliefs and rather into survival of the fittest scenarios.

while behaving in such a manner, they are pushing
forward the same exact agenda of  atheism proponents. that being that life is not special and thus, survival of the fittest is what it's all about and the guy with the biggest gun should win cause it makes sense in the natural world.

i would say you are not the text book definition of an atheist.  clearly you appreciate your spiritual side.  a true atheist just thinks we are evolved bits of animal flesh and that the divine, spiritual, super or hyper natural, do not exist, no matter how you define it.

i'm referring exclusively to those who believe or attempt to get others to believe, that life is a meaningless series of chemical reactions.

The AP Solves the Mystery of the Man Behind Innocence of Muslims
By Abby Ohlheiser and Josh Voorhees
Posted Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012

Quotet looks like the Associated Press has solved the mystery of who was behind the anti-Islam film believed to have sparked this week's violent protests at U.S. missions in Egypt, Libya, and throughout the Middle East.

That man is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a 55-year-old Coptic Christian with a criminal past who lives in California, according to the news wire's digging, which has been backed up by a federal law enforcement official.

In an interview with the AP, Nakoula admitted to providing logistical support for the production of Innocence of Muslims but denied being "Sam Bacile," the name given as the film's maker. But the evidence cobbled together by AP reporters Gillian Flaccus and Stephen Braun suggests otherwise.

The AP was one of a handful of media outlets to publish an interview early Wednesday with a man who claimed to be Bacile. Reporters traced the cellphone number used during that interview to Nakoula's address and, once there, noticed that Nakoula covered up his middle name of "Basseley" with his thumb when displaying his driver's license.

A little more digging on the part of Flaccus and Braun led to the discovery that Nakoula pleaded no contest in 2010 to bank fraud charges, had used numerous aliases in the past, and had a number of connections to the Bacile persona. An unnamed U.S. law enforcement official later confirmed to the AP that they had the right man.

Man behind anti-Islam film reportedly is Egyptian-born ex-con
By Michael Isikoff, NBC News

QuoteThe Associated Press was first to report that it had reached the filmmaker who said he was an Israeli-American real estate developer from California who had made the movie by raising $5 million from wealthy Jewish donors. It gradually emerged that the man, who went by "Sam Bacile," was using an alias. The film, tied to U.S.-based Christians with extreme anti-Islam views, was produced on a low budget in southern California using actors who were apparently unaware of the film's ultimate purpose.

Insulting religion and wishing for the death of your enemies is mainstream these days. Hasn't anyone got the memo yet? Heck even religious leaders are doing it.  ::)

Say a New Year prayer for the destruction of our enemies in Iran, Shas spiritual leader urges

Ask God to wipe out 'the evil ones who threaten Israel,' Rabbi Ovadia Yosef tells followers, ahead of next month's Rosh Hashanah

QuoteA special request asking God to destroy Israel's enemies in Iran and their Hezbollah proxy in Lebanon should be included next month in the prayers for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef said on Saturday night.

"When we say the blessing over the dates at our Rosh Hashanah meal this year," said the rabbi in his weekly address "and we ask God to 'bring an end to our enemies,' we should be thinking about Iran, those evil ones who threaten Israel. May the Lord destroy them."

any world view that attempts to define the spiritual and/or divine, the meaning of life, the universe and everything, and the origin of life, and to do so via indoctrination, written text, threat of death and peer pressure, is, by its very nature, religious in function and application.  this would include things like darwinism and atheism as well.  since they seek to offer "evidence" of their interpretation of the past, and to spread this teaching via forced indoctrination in state regulated schools, and via forced attendance, forced reading, etc.

it would pale in comparison to the death toll as a result of atheistic leaders, mostly due the vast numbers of people on the planet in modern times vs. how many existed during times when the melding of  religion and government were common place  currently, the atheists win hands down for the biggest death tolls in human history, just by virtue of the large populations of people on the planet available to slaughter in the name of their belief in non-beliefs.

not saying that absolves the prior atrocities, just not willing to sit here and pretend the last 100 years never happened, in favor of stuff that happened 1000 years ago.

Undo youre somewhat right there...atheists have killed many..but it is true the religious murders are more noticeable due to the pomp and circumstance shown by religion.
Nevertheless..both are downright wrong.

Defining god is the problem...if they keep wrongly defining our origins and creator it just perpetuates and builds upon the already mile thick layer of mythology all religions are based on.

Hubris and forced doctrine..religious or not...is the core problem..pure evil in the context of truth.

250,000,000 (That's two hundred and fifty million) people, died in the last century, directly due to the rise of communism and atheism.

i wager the figure is much higher, because back then, not every person alive or dead, was documented.  it's probably closer to twice as much.  in a 100 year span of time, more than a quarter of a billion people died as a direct result of the rise in atheism and communism.  (and we haven't even touched on what hitler did yet).   because without a moral, spiritual or humanitarian reason to spare each other's lives, we devolve into animals.  and if animals are all we are, nobody is safe from extermination.

organized religion is guilty of this as well, but only so far as their moral fiber or followers, tolerated.   in the case of people like stalin, moral fiber was passe', old school, irrelevant.   so i'm thinking having a reason to not kill is better than having no reason not to kill.   globally speaking, that is.

if you need to vent some steam, go do some karate,  spar with a sensei, play tackle football, play a video game,  play some d&d, swim a marathon, jog a few miles, challenge your buddy to an arm wrestling match, something, but let's leave out the whole idea of sanctioned or unsanctioned murder/killing of people, particularly based on something like world view.  i don't want my atheist, jewish, islamic, buddhist, hindu, etc,  friends to be killed and as a result, i don't relish the idea of them wanting me to be killed either.

it's one thing to disagree with someone, and quite another to want to control the space between their ears, or else.   homey don't play that game.  so sorry charlie.

Well perhaps we do need to define it :P Wouldn't want to just group all atheists into the same mold now would we?

::)

QuoteAtheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.

One can believe in reincarnation for example and be an atheist, because a belief in reincarnation does NOT require a belief in a God

QuoteAtheism is accepted within some religious and spiritual belief systems, including Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Neopagan movements such as Wicca, and nontheistic religions. Jainism and some forms of Buddhism do not advocate belief in gods, whereas Hinduism holds atheism to be valid, but some schools view the path of an atheist to be difficult to follow in matters of spirituality.

Since SCIENCE tells us that energy cannot be destroyed, it is quite possible to believe something of our life force survives death without resorting to a God

Very dangerous to just group them all into one mold  and it is also wrong to assume that an atheist does not have spirituality. They just don't believe that a god or gods is responsible

notice i was making a distinction in the case of atheists who believe they have a spiritual side.  the point i was making was that trying to deprive people of their connection to the spiritual side of life, no matter how you define that spiritual side, is not going to end up good, because without our connection to our higher selves, spiritual nature, god within or without, etc, we devolve, not evolve.

There are TWO kinds of Religions on this planet...

I will not name any because you all know which religions to day fall into which category. There are those that worship DEATH and those that worship LIFE

Those that worship DEATH and seek to CONTROL believers...

They are the ORI... Hallowed are the ORI, for they are taking over... The ORI support the DARK SIDE Of the FORCE, no matter what you conceive the FORCE to be

Those that worship LIFE are the ANCIENTS and strive to elevate mankind to higher levels

The ANCIENTS are losing the current battle... the Age of the Mystics is being systematically destroyed by the Ori... The ANCIENTS support the LIGHT side of the FORCE, no matter what you conceive the FORCE to be

Chose wisely in the coming years which side you will support... and be certain that those that represent you are truly what they claim to be...

For APOPHIS the DESTROYER is COMING

And when HE arrives it will make all your petty Hu-mon battles superfluous and meaningless, because in the space of a few moments, all that mankind was, his hopes, his dreams his wars... all will be nothing but a blink of an eye in the cosmos... and no one will ever know he existed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlF8APEkh-E

One small rock on a path to Oblivion... No God involved... just a rock on a sure path to anihilation... When" Its inevitable by the laws of chance, but APOPHIS is coming SOON and even NASA is not sure of its path...

Apophis in 2029 or 2036

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxWHm8V4lZo

So squable all Ye desire, Ye pety Hu-mons... for in the end all you have accomplished is wating away the chance to LIVE LIFE in PEACE AND HARMONY before you meet the DESTROYER

Close approach of Apophis on April 13, 2029

The close approach of 99942 Apophis (previously better known by its provisional designation 2004 MN4) to the Earth and Moon on April 13, 2029 The white bar indicates uncertainty in the range of possible positions.

Quote9942 Apophis (previously known by its provisional designation 2004 MN4) is a near-Earth asteroid that caused a brief period of concern in December 2004 because initial observations indicated a small probability (up to 2.7%) that it would strike the Earth in 2029. Additional observations provided improved predictions that eliminated the possibility of an impact on Earth or the Moon in 2029. However, a possibility remained that during the 2029 close encounter with Earth, Apophis would pass through a gravitational keyhole, a precise region in space no more than about a half-mile wide, that would set up a future impact on April 13, 2036. This possibility kept the asteroid at Level 1 on the Torino impact hazard scale until August 2006, when the probability that Apophis will pass through the keyhole was determined to be very small. Apophis broke the record for the highest level on the Torino Scale

At the VERY LEAST it will be close enough to pass through the area where our geosynchronous satellites orbit.

Now THIS 'gloom and doom' scenario is based on RESEARCH not RELIGION, putting the correct "R" into PRC

yeah i don't make the case that spiritual atheists, have anything to do with hitler's choices.  i do, however, think it was advanced by atheistic thought because of how he focused so heavily on similar scientific themes, similar to those stalin and lenin seemed to embrace, that being that there's some racial (read genetic) evolutionary scale and people fall under various parts of it, based on some concocted rationale, such as the nazi claim that jews evolved from pigs (no i'm not kidding) and that nordic europeans were superior to "mixed breeds" and so forth, i mean it's taking mendel to the extreme.  using science and prejudice as a weapon.  same same as what stalin was doing and lenin too and pol pot. even people who normally seem so rational, will suddenly break out into incomprehensible diatribes about how people who believe in anything they don't, are automatically unevolved morons and should be removed from the planet, to further the evolution of the species.  science as a weapon of prejudice.

You are onto it Z.....

The "Flesh" shall pass away but LIFE will still go on.

And you are 100% Correct with this Quote;

QuoteHitler joined forces with Rome after all (Musilini et al)

"I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so"  -- Adolf Hitler

QuoteSo Hitler's rampage gets added to that RCC list, not the atheist camp... sorry

So Very True Z No One can change this Truth....

This is Why I tesify that "ROMAN Doctrine" (includes all denominations who use the Roman bible or any other Version or should I say "Worship it") is NOT Christianity.

Those who followed the Teachings of the Carpenter (More Correctly a Builder in the "Parable")
went Undergound and are solatery and NOT in the churches of the descendants of A' DAM today i.e the "Flesh".

It is the "Flesh" which WARS against "Flesh", as the "Flesh" is Divided against itself.

Group against Group; Whether Political, Religious or Social.

a meteor, 150ft in diameter, punched this hole in arizona
that's 150 ft. not even one mile, much less 500 kilometers.
there are 3280.8399 feet in one kilometer.
times that by 500 kilometers.  that's 1,640,000 feet wide, precisely equivalent to 10,933 arizona meteors.  ( i think. somebody check my math. i don't know how to use this computer calculator. the font on it is too small and i'm not sure which symbol is division and which is multipication)

There are many many things about to happen but the "Flesh" does NOT understand any of it,
because it Lacks the "Knowledge" of LIFE or is at WAR with LIFE.

But "The LINING ONE" i.e. The "Real You" does, that is IF it overcomes the World or "Flesh".

lol.

On Christmas Day 1950, a group of four Scottish students (Ian Hamilton, Gavin Vernon, Kay Matheson, and Alan Stuart) took the Stone from Westminster Abbey for return to Scotland.[9] In the process of removing it from the Abbey the stone broke into two pieces.[10][11]After hiding the greater part of the stone with travellers in Kent for a few days, they risked the road blocks on the border and returned to Scotland with this piece, which they had hidden in the back of a borrowed car, along with a new accomplice John Josselyn. Although an Englishman, Josselyn, then a student at Glasgow University, was a Scottish Nationalist. And rather ironically and probably unknown to him at the time, Edward I (who captured the Stone in 1296 and took it to Westminster Abbey) was his 21st great grandfather [12]. The smaller piece was similarly brought north a little while later. This journey involved a break in Leeds, where a group of sympathetic students and graduates took the fragment to Ilkley Moor for an overnight stay, accompanied by renditions of "On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at".The Stone was then passed to a senior Glasgow politician who arranged for it to be professionally repaired by Glasgow stonemasonRobert Gray.

But the bigger Impact on the "Flesh" will be when the Seas relocate under the Earths Crust !

A Natural Phenomena which has repeated this Cycle a number of times before.

It involves the "Thermal Cycles" of The Earth where the Seas relocate between
above the Earths Crust and under it, changing back and forth over time.

The next time the Seas relocate under the Earths Crust won't be the first time, nor the Last time.

At some point (Many Years Later) the Seas will return again once again to be above the Earths Crust !

Many shall survive...  With a little help !

Thank you for the Link...

http://www.damninteresting.com/the-deepest-hole/ (http://www.damninteresting.com/the-deepest-hole/)

QuoteTo the surprise of the researchers, they did not find the expected transition from granite to basalt at 3-6 kilometers beneath the surface. Data had long shown that seismic waves travel significantly faster below that depth, and geologists had believed that this was due to a "basement" of basalt. Instead, the difference was discovered to be a change in the rock brought on by intense heat and pressure, or metamorphic rock. Even more surprisingly, this deep rock was found to be saturated in water which filled the cracks. Because free water should not be found at those depths, scientists theorize that the water is comprised of hydrogen and oxygen atoms which were squeezed out of the surrounding rocks due to the incredible pressure. The water was then prevented from rising to the surface because of the layer of impermeable rocks above it.

Another unexpected find was a menagerie of microscopic fossils as deep as 6.7 kilometers below the surface. Twenty-four distinct species of plankton microfossils were found, and they were discovered to have carbon and nitrogen coverings rather than the typical limestone or silica. Despite the harsh environment of heat and pressure, the microscopic remains were remarkably intact.

The Russian researchers were also surprised at how quickly the temperatures rose as the borehole deepened, which is the factor that ultimately halted the project's progress. Despite the scientists' efforts to combat the heat by refrigerating the drilling mud before pumping it down, at twelve kilometers the drill began to approach its maximum heat tolerance. At that depth researchers had estimated that they would encounter rocks at 100°C (212°F), but the actual temperature was about 180°C (356°F)– much higher than anticipated. At that level of heat and pressure, the rocks began to act more like a plastic than a solid, and the hole had a tendency to flow closed whenever the drill bit was pulled out for replacement. Forward progress became impossible without some technological breakthroughs and major renovations of the equipment on hand, so drilling stopped on the SG-3 branch. If the hole had reached the initial goal of 15,000 meters, temperatures would have reached a projected 300°C (572°F).

When drilling stopped in 1994, the hole was over seven miles deep (12,262 meters), making it by far the deepest hole ever drilled by humankind. The last of the cores to be plucked from from the borehole were dated to be about 2.7 billion years old, or roughly 32 million times older than Abe Vigoda. But even at that depth, the Kola project only penetrated into a fraction of the Earth's continental crust, which ranges from twenty to eighty kilometers thick

Exactly what I am talking about !

:o  WOW the stupid just never ends....

Surreal: Clinton Pledges $45 Million in Aid to Al Qaeda in Syria

QuoteHillary Clinton is handing millions in cash to known Al Qaeda terrorists, on the heels of these terrorists claiming one of her own ambassadors in the middle of LIFG's terror emirate – this while the West berates Iran for supporting the government of Syria as it attempts to defend itself against what is clearly a foreign invasion, not a popular uprising.

While it may seem an act of unhinged insanity – it is not. It only seems "insane" if one believes the narratives spun by Western politicians who are attempting to sell their agenda from various, not always mutually conducive angles. If one however understands that the corporate-financier interests of Wall Street and London are pursuing global hegemony at any cost, the use of Al Qaeda terrorists who have just led mobs attacking Western consulates across the region that claimed the life of one of America's own ambassadors makes perfect sense.

If only they would put me in charge for a couple of days.  I would speak to the public in Syria, no, maybe the women, the elderly and young women.

Once I got the truth from them on who is killing innocents in there I would direct that high tech and take out the instigators of such killing and tell any others if ya come back and try again then more of you will go the same way.

Then I would give aid and help to get the Syrian public back on its feet, throw any other bullies and psychopaths in jail and see what happens.

Ofcourse I would give big, big money for the best of the best in the world to make sure there was no more innocent killings and bullying.

Why, because I am bloody sick of it.  Now if we could only get hold of that Bilderberger Queen for an hour or two, plunge her full of truth serum and see what she has to say; although if that happens her skin might turn scaly.  :o
