In a 2011 interview with a Fox News channel in New York, Mr Trump spoke of the "amazing" moment as a college student when he was given a " a very, very high number" in the Vietnam draft lottery, which, he said, effectively ruled out his being sent to serve.

But, as a New York Times article now highlights, that lottery actually happened long after Mr Trump had finished his final round of studies at the Wharton School of Finance. Moreover, the medical classification he had received because of the bone spur, known as a 1-Y, meant he was disqualified anyway, rendering the number he received in the lottery draw - high or low - irrelevant.

"For all practical purposes, once you got the 1-Y, you were free and clear of vulnerability for the draft, even in the case of the lottery," Richard Flahavan, a spokesman for the Selective Service System, the US military conscription agency, told the paper.

When people get horrified by Trump, I see that as an advantage. The country needs radical change but must guard against tyranny. In this Trump is clearly self limiting (whether he likes it or not!).  A Mussolini wannabe in PC Land doesn't work.

OK, follow me here.... is it possible that we have witnessed an era of horrors by Neo Con psychopaths because Obama is such a feeble and ineffective President?  Could it be that second string Warmongers (Breedlove, Kagans) have been running wild with no restraint while the President does nothing more than give speeches and go golfing?
Think about Reagan and Iran Contra - while the media concealed his Alzheimers.  A similar situation could have existed with Bush - except they let him think he was really in charge, ("I'm the Decider").

Fast forward to Jan. 2016.  A mean spirited, ineffective, elderly woman becomes President - who can't use a computer or fax machine and is careless with security.  Any second string independence gets slapped down out of angry jealousy.  There is no money for infrastructure, universal healthcare or jobs and the economy is too weak for new taxes (which Republicans won't allow, anyway).  Maybe she uses any excuse to dump NATO and Korea.

my real fear is that whoever wins the election  the problems will be huge 
the animosity is that great
and  i think if you want to see what could happen look at what is going on in turkey right now

look to turkey to see what happens when a "elected" official has zealous opposition and the country goes into more of a dictatorship  or if  it had gone the other way.. military take over
cause if you think for one tiny moment that the military in this country after being  so
maligned by T will let him rule..think again

so even though you guys think i am crazy to even think about a vote to H.. that is why i think it will be a better choice at this time.. but i still think we are looking at a very uncivil war hopefully it will only be words that are tossed because there is already enough hatred of others in  this country

so my fellow posters  i embrace your difference and hope you will find it in your hearts to embrace those who don't feel the same as you

Donald Trump repeatedly asked an unnamed foreign policy expert why the U.S. couldn't use its nuclear weapons stockpile during a national security briefing earlier this year, MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough said Wednesday.

Scarborough told the anecdote amid an interview with former CIA director Michael Hayden, who said he could not see himself voting for the "inconsistent" and "dangerous" GOP nominee. Asked if he was aware of anyone among his peers who was advising Trump, Hayden said "no one."

"I'll have to be very careful here," Scarborough said. "Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on international level went to advise Donald Trump, and three times he asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked, at one point, if we have them, why can't we use them? That's one of the reasons he just doesn't have foreign policy experts around him. Three times, in an hour briefing, why can't we use nuclear weapons."

Scarborough learned of the exchange "in the last few days," according to an MSNBC executive.

The very point I sought to make !  They pump up the market until Hillary wins.   

There is a dark possibility that Hillary is the best choice Because She Could Be A Traitor (for Russia).   Has she been compromised by Russian hackers who now have incriminating emails?  Putin does not need any active cooperation from the US to create a Eurasian alliance, just get out of the way!  While the foolish US media puts a microscope on Trump, the evidence for her treacherous behavior is barely even reported much less investigated - by Republicans who secretly support her.  ( Assange asserted that she supported ISIS with weapons).  The US war against Japan may have triggered by a highly placed Soviet agent who sabotaged negotiations that would have  prevented the war.  It can happen.......

To me, the hope of a new Eurasian alliance, "from Lisbon to Vladivostok" represents the best hope for world peace in generations.  Go Vlad!

I wouldn't even call it an election. The entire thing is rigged right from the start. When you have electronic voting anything goes. You don't see that your vote might only count as a fraction and the percentages can be flipped to either candidate to make a predictable outcome. This is just another reality show that really sucks. It's about who can be the most popular. How many people are actually going to vote for these people based on what they are going to do for you and not who is the least worst for the country? The US has had Skull & Bones members in power longer than I can remember. It doesn't matter if you had a person up there that was completely sane and would do only good things for the country they would still probably lose by a narrow margin because that is what the predetermined outcome is programmed into the voting machines. BAN THE MACHINES!!!
